Essential House, Finchley London

Luxury Marble Vessel Sink & Backlit Mirror

In the heart of Finchley, North London, this renovation project centered on a quintessential challenge: the architectural constraints of a period property.

The original bathroom, characterized by a modest footprint, was further compromised by a labyrinth of exposed plumbing and inefficient structural boxing— which is commonly seen in bathrooms in London houses.

Our approach was not to add, but to subtract. We adopted a philosophy of 'Return to Essence,' seeking to liberate the space from its clutter. By re-engineering the layout and shifting the bathtub’s orientation, we integrated the primary plumbing and drainage systems into the wall structure.

This invisible structural refinement achieved two primary objectives: Eradication of dead corners for a seamless environment, and Spatial Liberation, where the reclaimed area allowed for a bespoke mirror cabinet.
